Whopping Field Locked in for the High Banks

After a month’s hiatus, the McCosker Super Sedan Series will return this weekend to Hi-Tec Oils Toowoomba Speedway with an awesome thirty four cars set to do battle.

The event will double as round three of the Ultimate Super Sedan Championship, and will be the Twin Feature Challenge proudly supported by The Service Centre and the Taylor Family.

National Champion Darren Kane was victorious in the opening round of the USSC, and will be looking for a repeat performance this weekend to consolidate his lead at the top of the standings.

Tasmanian Champion Brad Pascoe has continued where he left off last season, picking up three feature wins already this season. Pascoe will be looking to take his Proline Plasterboard Contractors backed Sweet Chassis to victory lane for his fourth win of the season on Saturday night.

Joel Berkley has been on a tear since joining the Super Sedan ranks, and has already claimed a victory at McCosker Gladstone Speedway this season. Berkley will be in the draw for the first time at Toowoomba, and will be hoping to propel himself in the Bob McCosker owned Dominator to victory lane on Saturday night.

Matty Pascoe has been on the podium three times so far this season, but is yet to break through for his first win of the season. Pascoe will be out to break that drought on Saturday night.

Zac Pascoe has stood on the podium twice this season, and after tasting victory on the ‘High Banks’ during the USSC Grand Finale last season, Pascoe will be hungry for more come Saturday night.

JJ Hamilton and Hayden Brims have both struggled for consistency so far this season, but both drivers love the ‘High Banks’ of Hi-Tec Oils Toowoomba Speedway and will be out for redemption this weekend.

Matt Williams will make his first start of the season this weekend. With a lot of big money races coming up, Williams will be out get his Taylor Made Chassis dialled in prior to those big events.

Jye O’Brien has been in great form in his return season, picking up a pair of podiums at Toowoomba and Bundaberg. O’Brien will be out to get his first victory of the season this weekend.

Former National Champions Trent Wilson, Steve Jordan, and Mick Nicola from Victoria will be right in the mix for the victory come feature time.

Drivers will compete in two rounds of heat races to set the field for the first of two twenty four lap feature races. The grid for the second feature will be reverse grid of the finishing positions from the first feature race.

Racing will get underway at 4pm and if you are not able to make it to the venue all the action will be live on Clay-Per-View.
