Trent Wilson has won both of his heats and the thirty lap main event to take the honours in Round Nine of the McCosker Contracting Super Sedan Series at Archerfield Speedway in Brisbane. Wilson was the top point scorer after heat race action, being the only undefeated driver throughout the heats.
Other heat race winners were; Justin Randall, Mitchell Gee, Sean Black, and Matty Pascoe. Wilson’s only blemish for the evening was in the gold shootout when Gee pipped Wilson for pole position with an ultra fast lap of 14.188.
Wilson however was able to utilise the top side of the race track to win the start and set off into the lead, with Gee giving chase in second and Pascoe in third. After starting fifth Black was on to the podium after four laps, passing Pascoe for third. Wilson had a good lead at the front, and was getting into lap traffic when the yellow light came on just shy of the half way mark.
From the restart Wilson was under intense pressure from Gee, with Gee pulling along side on multiple occasions, but was unable to complete the pass. Wilson would go on to record a well deserved win ahead of Gee in second, with Black rounding out the podium in third.
Randall secured fourth after starting from sixth, and Brad Pascoe rounded out the podium after starting from outside the top ten.
