Zac Brims got his night off to a perfect start aboard his new Sweet Chassis with a commanding win in the opening heat of the night. Will Hockley followed Brims home in second, ahead of Leigh Williams in third.
Bob McCosker marked his return to the track with a hard fought victory over teammate and National Champion Joel Berkley who crossed the line just behind in second. Zac Pascoe rounded out the podium in third.
Brad Pascoe marked his Sweet Chassis Platinum debut with a dominant victory in the final heat of the opening round. Rob Hamilton was next across the line in second, ahead of Victoria’s Mick Nicola in third.
Pascoe made it two from two with another strong victory in heat four. Hockley completed another second placed finish, with Zac Pascoe again rounding out the podium in third.
McCosker again was pushed all the way by Berkley, but McCosker held on to take his second win from two starts. Berkley crossed the line in the runner up spot, from Harry Doyle in third.
Nicola dominated the action in heat five, crossing the line 3.2 seconds ahead of Sean Black in second, and a further 2.2 seconds ahead of Darren Saunders in third.
Berkley finally hit the front in heat seven for his first victory of the night. Brad Pascoe fought his way from the back of the pack for a runner up finish, ahead of Nicola in third.
Brims picked up his second win of the night in the penultimate heat of the evening, taking out a commanding victory from Zac Pascoe in second, and Scott Taylor in third who picked up his first heat race podium aboard his new Sweet Chassis.
Hamilton led from start to finish in the final heat race of the night, taking the victory from Michael Hally in second and Black in third.
Brad Pascoe topped the points after three rounds of heats and was set to be joined on the front row by Berkley before the rain ultimately ended the evening in anticlimactic fashion.
The McCosker Super Sedan Series will continue this weekend at Autobarn Carina International Speedway in Bundaberg with round four.
